I would like to install a Zetron model 38 tone panel on to a UHF MSF-5000 repeater. Has anyone ever done this and do you have the modifications to do so?

Call Zetron; they have two application sheets for the MSF5000, depending on whether it is analog or digital-capable. They are an easy outfit to deal with and they'll probably send or fax them to you gratis.

All of the connections have to be made to components on the PCB.

I originally did the engineering with the Zetron engineers, they'd never seen a 5000. That hookup the 38 "spoke to" the 5000 on the MUX BUS. We had a lot of them in our 900 system and a few in 460 too.

I have a write up some where in my archives for a fairly simple way to hook a 38 up and make it sound good.

Can anyone point me to the cable for this configuration and a manual to program?
