XTL5000 with O3 odyssey mic and O5 head?

gday all, as the topic states.. can i run a O5 head at the same time as running the O3 Odyssey mic? or can i only run one or the other? also is their any way i can tell if a panter88 O5 head will work ok on my xtl5000? cheers all and thanks for the replies

And O3 is not a mic - it's a head with an integrated mic. So as long as you have the hardware to support dual heads, I believe that is supported.
Ask Panter88 what firmware his head has. Then look up the topic that shows which O5 firmware is compatible with which radio firmware.

gday mate, thanks for your reply. ive tried searching for the firmware thread you mentioned with no luck ? you wouldnt happen to have it book marked by any chance would you? it would be greatly appreciated

You can NOT use an O3 and O5 head on the same radio at the same time.

ok thanks for the reply mate, can i use them at seperate times by reprogramming the radio to suit the head that is connected?

There is no need to reprogram. The codeplug contains the info for both head, take a look. Just plug one or the other in.
