Numeric radio ID's not displaying when in P-25

Post by kato56 »

I had this on the Motorola ASTRO (VSELP/IMBE/AMBE) Equipment forum and didn’t receive any replies, so I thought I’d try it here.

I have an Astro Saber and a XTS3000 with the same flash 599108-1C5E00-1 and on the same band split. The Astro Saber displays radio ID's (numeric) when receiving in P-25, however the XTS listening to the same frequency and mode does not. I have brought up both radios codeplugs side by side to compare settings and except for the display font size on th XTS, all other settings match each other.
Both radios WILL display each others soft ID when I transmit to each other which confuses me.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

What radios do you own?: More than I can count

I found this also with analog Spectra's and it could be the same. If you used a hacked code plug, there is something missing in it. I have 2 code plugs that both say they have trunked ID in them, but only one works. I can switch code plugs between radios and only one follows with trunked ID. It appears that inside the codeplug it has to have the trunked ID bit set, I don't know if this is the answer you are looking for, but it might point you in the right direction.
