I have an mts2000 800mhz flashport radio that is conventional. Is it possible to put the tranceiver board in a mt2000 with a mt2000 controller board and get it to do trunking. The reason i am asking is because we already did the swap and we cant get it to work properly. It will transmit on conventional but not trunked. We have already tried using lab software to make a new codeplug. Not sure where to go next with this any one have any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

the MT2000 controller board doesn't support trunking, uses masked ROM for firmware, and even if you do get a good codeplug in it, with most 800 trunking systems rebanded, an MTX8000/MT2000 controller will not work anyway as it won't support rebanding. Your best bet is to find a real MTS2000 that does trunking. Or get your MTS2000 reflashed. (Probably cheaper to just replace it).

True MTS2000's that support rebanding are cheap and plentiful. I have a model I in very nice shape flashed for Smartnet trunking for less than a hundred bucks, and it's a late build so it's got the newer RF boards, and has all tags, etc.

Ok thank you very much for the info. I assume you want to sell that radio. If so i am interested. The system is a type II rebanded. If it will work please send me an E-mail at [email protected]. Thanks Again.
