Commander Speaker Mic vs. Standard Jedi Mic vol ?

Good day everyone !

Apologies if this has been discussed here before, but here's my questions;

Having only owned the standard Jedi style speaker mic (6193, and 6191) I was curious as to how much better / more rugged these Commander II speaker mics are (besides the obvious, that you can control the volume, channels, etc. via. the mic) compared to the old Jedi mics ? Are they more durable ? Is the audio on the Commander mics louder / not as tinny as it is with the Jedi mics ?

If I were to get one, it would be used with my XTS5000, so no worries on if it will work with my radio. Right now I have the old Jedi style 6193 mic that works ok, but would love to hear feedback from users with the Commander II's.

Any comments on the two would be great !

I have a commander II I use with my XTS5000. Its nice to use when I have the radio under my bunker coat. I keep the radio on an FDNY style strap so the mic is just under my chin.Its a pain to try to reach the radio in the case under my coat and with an SCBA on. Its nice to be able to ajust the volume and change freqs. I also have it so I can delete on the scan list from the side buttons. Plus the orange emergency button is right there
