Maratrac wont turn on

I have a lowband 42-50 maratrac with A7 head. This radio has been in storage and when I went to power it up......nothing. The cables, head and all parts are good as I have tried them on another maratrac. Is there an internal fuse somehwere or can some give me some test points to check for voltage present? I am at a loss on this.

Make sure you are powering up the ignition sense wires, too! Also, reseat the logic board, perhaps use some contact cleaner on the connector between the logic and RF boards. Those connections can get oxidized, keeping 9.6v from passing through. I'd say, power it up, and press on the logic board/RF board in various spots, particularly near the inter-board connector, and see if you get anything.

I work on so many different models of radios that they blend together after a while. But, most of the Motorola versions all require to have the DC power applied to the heavy TX power cable wires in order to even turn on the radio. Make sure you have power on both the high current and control head wires. Don't forget the ground wires.

You can download the service manual from repeater builder.

Maratrac low band manual is about 2/3 of the way down the page.

You might try looking at the on/off circuit, looks like it uses a relay, could be oxidized contacts not allowing the radio to turn on. Other than that, look at voltages, I didn't work on a lot of these but I kind of remember having a few problems with the interconnect board at the front of the radio.
