Maratrac RSS

I hex edited my Maratrac RSS quite some time ago so I could program 70cm freqs in. I ran the radio for a while on 70cm then pulled it out and reprogrammed it for our UHF farm repeater. We just recently swapped all our farm radios for narrowband capable ones, now when I go back to enter in 70cm freqs in it again, it acts like it was never hex edited. Any ideas?

My guess is that you had at least one update of the RSS along the way. You will probably have to go back and hex edit the software again due to the update.

I got him going with the RSS he had.

READ radio first, then make changes.

In the 440 mHz range only enter three decimal places. 443.450 as an example.

Doesn't just using the shift key method work? It should depending on how far out of band you need to go.

NO, the shift key method does not work in the Maratrac RSS. You will note:" hex edited Maratrac RSS".
