I just bought a XTS3000 UHF, and I'm looking for a good high quality battery that doesn't break the bank like the Motorola brand batteries I've seen so far. I found the following items in the links below, both a battery and charger for under $75.00, has anyone ever used any of this companies products and what were your experiences?

Cut-Rate is a good outfit. I've used their Lithium-Ion short Saber batteries for years; they sell them for about $70 instead of more than $100 like everyone else does.

Now, if I were in your position I'd investigate Lithium-Ion for your XTS instead of conventional units. The batteries last much longer in use, much longer sitting on the shelf, and they weigh less. An XTS Lithium-Ion battery rated at 1900 mAh is about half as thick as a conventional one with the same or similar rating. You can get a Motorola 8813 charger on eBay for a good price these days and you'll need a tri-chem charger for a Lithium-Ion battery. You can't charge a Lithium-Ion battery in a conventional charger meant only for Nicad and NiMH units. The Cut-Rate charger is a tri-chem unit but you can probably find a Motorola for the same cost.

The Cut-Rate Lithium-Ion XTS battery costs just a bit more than the one you're now looking at.
