Senior Two-Way Radio Technician
Nielson Communications, Inc., a Harris, Kenwood, EF Johnson, Dataradio and ICOM authorized full service two-way communications dealer and first dealer in North America to implement a TETRA pilot, seeks a qualified Two-Way Radio Senior Technician to install, repair, align and maintain two-way radio and wireless data systems throughout NE Wisconsin.
Our Ideal Candidate:
Applicant must have capabilities with installation, maintenance, and repair of base systems, repeaters, remote controls, multiplexers, antenna systems, microwave systems, battery backup systems and mobile installations. Good computer skills required with ability to program, trouble shoot and/or perform system diagnostics on complex communication systems. Experience with dispatch consoles, wireless data and trunked radio systems a must. Knowledge of or experience with Voice/Radio over IP beneficial. Designing and assisting with system design and support of sales department will also be required.
Individual must be a self starter, be able to work independently as well as in a team environment on large installation projects requiring skills in cabling, connectorization, and system optimization.
Ideally, candidates would possess an industry license from testing agency (FCC, FICA or NARTE). A clean driving record and valid drivers license is required. Two-year degree in electronics field is highly desirable.
Successful candidates will be motivated, customer service oriented and professional in appearance. Individual must be willing and able to work after normal business hours, on occasion, with some overnight travel. Compensation is commensurate with experience.
