CDM1250 multiple speakers

We're having CDM1250s in our new fire engine. Specs call for 3 speakers on each radio (1 radio in the cab, 1 at the pump panel) The manufacturer is telling us now that the install is complete, that the radios can't drive the 3 speakers. Questions are, (1) do the CDM1250,s have less audio power than the Spectras, the Spectras in our older engines drive multiple speakers fine. (2) could it be an impedance missmatch, and is matching audio impedance critical?

Thanks, Bill

The 1250 spec sheet says 3 watts via the radio's internal speaker and 13 watts available for external speaker(s).

You should have plenty of power for two additional speakers, but if I were you I'd have the shop that did the install
do the extra speakers.

The shop did supply and install the additional speakers.

You should have, according to the radio's spec sheet, sufficient power to run two add-on speakers. That assumes that the installer knows how to wire them up correctly, which it sounds as if he did not.

I always use amplified speakers - Allows for plenty of extra push and wont strain the onboard factory amp.
