I used to have the name of a person near Atlanta, GA, that did re-capping and ham conversion for 900MHz Spectras. But, of course, I lost the info. ISTR that the person was also a ham. Any clues?

You're probably thinking of David Rudd, AI4JI. He is in Georgia and recently did the recap on a UHF Spectra for me as I no longer have access to a hot air rework station. He does first class work and is VERY reasonable. Here's his email:

David's a good guy, knows his stuff. Does it for a living and did my two Spectra analogs a while back. One stays on 24/7 and works flawlessly. He's also a fun guy to talk to on the local machines around here. He will do right by you.

Thanks! That's the name I had. I've e-mailed him to see if he's willing to tackle a couple of tasks for me.
The board comes through again!
