UK Radio equipement?

Hello folks,

Anybody ever heard of Cassidia?They are a company that apparently have installed p25 infrastucture from the UK who are trying to drum up business here in America.They are apparently a division of Plantronics.Anybody familiar or know about them?

Cassidian? They're a huuuuuuuuge defence contractor owned by EADS (who own Eurocopter, Airbus and others). Cassidian owns what was Nokia's TETRA business.

They've rolled out at least one P25 system so far. City of Richardson, Texas:

they supply motorola with a great deal of console infrastructure

in fact the mip5000 is a plant cml/cassidian product with motorola's name on it heh

Splitting hairs, but it's still in the installation/testing phase. The actual repeaters were made by Tait or Harris MA/COM, I forget.

They also make the mcc5500, mc series remotes and the command star series for motorola.

And it's all junk, IMHO. The only thing PlantCML ever made that was worth it's weight in gold was Vesta Standard. The "Centracom" of telephone systems.
