ht1000 programming

Post by trupperusa »

Hi all,
I just got my ht1000 uhf and I would like to program it this way: ch1 repeater access (gmrs) and the other 15 channels to receive only, but I would like to be able to set the ch selector on any of the receive only channels and be able to scan ch1 and talk at anytime while listening on any of the receive ch I have seen one guy with a radio programmed like that and he could be listening to the pd channels and if somebody would talk on ch 1 he would be able to talk back also even if nobody talks on ch1 he would just key up while on any of the other channels.

thanks a lot for your anticipated help.

What radios do you own?: Not enough apparently!

Sure, just set up channel 1 as priority scan and program it as the designated TX channel. This will accomplish what you want.

In Radio Wide options, Scan List Configuration, Scan Options, there should be a line for "Designated Tx channel". It is defaulted to "Selected", but you can change it to "1".

With this parameter programmed this way, the radio will only transmit on channel 1 while in scan mode, which is why this stays on "Selected" 99% of the time.
