have a centracom gold elite.

NON-PUBLIC SAFETY.

gold elite is running a four channel m1225 through a gaitronics ita2000a.

how do i program the resource to change the the channel on the 1225?

Is it strictly done at the console? Or is it a combo of the console and the ita2000a?

I already have the 1225 programmed

It's a combination of the two.

First, you need to make sure that you can channel steer the M1225 via it's accessory port. I don't know of the top of my head if the M1225 allows one to do this or not.

Provided it does, you need to interface the correct pins between the ITA2000 and the M1225 to allow the ITA2000 to set the channel on the radio.

Then you need to know what function tones the ITA2000 wants to select the respective channels.

In Gold Elite ADM, you would set the resource up as a multifrequency (T8R8, T4R4, T2R2, whatever you want) resource with tone keying, and set it to a tone plan that matches what your ITA2000 wants. This may be a custom tone plan you'll have to define within the ADM, but it can be done, and fairly easily.

You can then channel steer the M1225 from the console. I've never tried doing anything past 8 frequency control, supposedly it supports up to 14 frequencies if I recall correctly, but I seem to remember 8 being a limit for some reason... Not sure why, and I could be wrong.

You can also name the channels in the ADM, limit how many channels can be selected, etc.

Nothing personal, I would just have to be in front of the CDM to remember all the steps involved. It's fairly straightforward, you just need to get all the little pieces set properly to make it work.
