What makes Batlabs such a special place is the quality of people here, always willing to lend a hand.
I want to take this moment to thank some great people who have helped me out many a time, some are no longer here but they will never be forgotten. The one who comes to the front of my mind was Monty Sisco who left us in 2004, but was a fixture to the board since the early days, he was a gentleman and a scholar who always went out of his way to be positive, help others and never complained. He always offered SOLUTIONS. He often stepped into nasty fights and brought peace and harmony back in focus. I miss you Monty- and I know I am not alone.

There are so many fine minds and superb individuals who give timelessly, and this is what makes us shine. We're not just a bunch of radio geeks, we are professionals, we are doctors, lawyers, police, firefighters, technicians, dispatchers, chefs, waiters, accountants- you name it but we are all connected by radio and a desire to help each other.

I want to say thanks to some great members like N7MAQ, Kotaguchi, N4KVE and Alex himself. There are so many more I don't know where to start. All I can say is it is an honor to have been a part of this community since over a decade ago and I only hope I can give back and pay it forward 10 times more the way I have been helped.

It's what this day is all about. Remembering those who have passed and gave selflessly and saying THANK YOU to those who do everyday.

I was thinking of making a Thanksgiving day thread as well, but you beat me to it (and did a much better job that I would have anyway lol).

I also miss Monty terribly. I have delt with him MANY times, and he has helped me out a LOT when I was in my younger years into radios.

I will also like to take this time, and personally thank the MANY members of this GREAT community as well ( namely Jim (N7MAQ), and Erik (MTS2000DES) as well for thier multitude of help, and all around GREAT service. Jim has also helped me MANY times, and continues to provide the hands down BEST customer service out of ANYONE I have delt with. So, hats off to Jim, as well as Erik. Both GREAT and valued members here.

Jim & Erik are but a few of the great members here, but these 2 guys have helped me out many times in the past. Happy turkey day to all here. GARY N4KVE

Thank you Erik for this post, a true touch of class from an extraordinary gentleman and member. I'd also like to offer my gratitude to all the professionals and respectful members this board has brought together. It has brought me personally a great deal of assistance, source of great equipment without fear of receiving garbage, extraordinary guidance, some acquaintances, and most of all enjoyment. Especially Jim MAQ, Erik (MTS) Jeff (Escomm), Alex, Leadenwah, kotaguchi, and so many more guys who have helped bring me a sigh of relief, enjoyment, or just a sense of trust or faith in where I send my valued equipment or hard earned money.
