For that model you can not replace just the controller and be on 900Mhz. You would also need to replace the RF board.
Might as well just purchase a 900mhz MTS.

Yes, I was told that also yesterday, I know I can buy one, but I would like to do this proyect, so I have to get a 900mhz RF Board and Controller Board, but I haven't seen that many or if I get a DOA radio that the boards are good that will work out too.

Else I have to sell this one that I got missing the controller board and find a similar one for 900mhz

Thanks for the input

The only value in the parts you have now is the full-keypad front. With that you could take a plain model 1 MTX9000 and upgrade it to a full model 3 radio with a model 3 s-record or codeplug and the appropriate lab software.

Hello, Motorola_otaku

that sounds interesting, but I do not know how to do this you suggested, meaning I would need instructions on how to do this step by step, I can do the front face replacement but the forcing of a codeplug I would need help with that and I have to go to a friend that has the lab software so that I am able to do this.

Thanks for the input

While you can force a B7 codeplug into a B3 radio, the B3 controller will not support the front display full keypad features. The best you can accomplish, is a B3 controller board will support a top display B4 setup. GARY N4KVE

Before u go off force feeding that MTS2000 FLASHCODED CONTROL BOARD,...
u might want to check if it is "TOOLPROOF"...

Yeah,,,,,, I did not see anyone mention that!!!!

Toolproofing only applies to MTS controllers. MTX controller boards were never toolproofed and can be labbed any ol' way to Sunday, aside from the B3 front control limitation that N4KVE pointed out.
