Can someone advise if a channel lineup/program read from an XTS-3000 model I, can be moved over (cloned) to an Astro Saber Model III?

It can't be cloned in the traditional sense, but you can 'drag and drop' the info from one codeplug to another.

So, if I understand correctly, I would just grab "Conventional Personality-1" from the XTS-3000 and drag it over to the Astro and drop it on the "Conventional Personality" folder. And do that one by one for all the channels? By doing so would move all the various settings for each channel...even if it were a P25 channel? Thanks in advance...

Save yourself the time and hassle and do a "Top level drag and drop". Grab the very top level from your donor codeplug, and drop it into your target codeplug. You may have to adjust a few settings, but it will save you hours of programming!

Thanks for the tip. I tried it and it worked, kinda. Funny thing happened on the way to the drag and drop. All the personalities copy over fine, however, I lost receiver sensitivity, significantly! I replaced the code plug with the original code plug and entered a couple of frequencies manually...and sensitivity back! Obviously the tuning data must have changed with the drag and drop. I only grabbed the top level folder and moved it. It asked me if I wanted to place it before or after the existing personalities. Anyone have any thoughts?

Tuning data does not transfer with a drag and drop operation. The CPS cannot even read the values, you tune them with a separate tuning program. It would be easy enough to confirm the values do or don't change after a drag & drop with the tuning software, if you have it.
Also easy enough to check by just dragging the conventional personalities over instead of a top level drag & drop.
There is a squelch fine tune in each conventional personality...perhaps that is set differently in each of your radios, or reverts to a different value during the drag & drop operation?
