Actually, I wasn't totally clear in my post.

I meant to say that the spot-check chart isn't supposed to be used to cut the antenna. Mike is correct that the chart with the graph(s) is for working with the new antenna.

Yes, not a very useful radio unless you are a fed agency looking for spare parts -- and I don't think that auctions are their normal method to acquire such things.

Does anyone know what the current Quantar exciter firmware version is?

Looking at the Quantar programming manual, it appears that 20.09.017 was associated with rev 14 of the CPS and SCM firmware. However, I have seen an exciter with 20.09.018.

Does anyone have further info?

In answer to Bill's question, I don't know where the module is supposed to go. However, it looks like it goes in the second receiver / SAM / UHSO slot. That would be the only place for it.
