Ahhh... I was reading too fast and interpreted that sentence differently. :) It would have been an interesting feat if you did what I thought you did...

I haven't got any codeplugs that do more than 10 channels. But I will let you know if one shows up.

Full lock TX/RX from 902-928? Can you detail your procedure... just painting the VCO I was having VCO unlock when I did a test unit.

also on the model number that is listed for the radio, it should be a 128 mode but is now only a 56 mode. not that i need 128 channels but if i try to change it to 128 mode will it corrupt the radio :roll:

May be a 128ch model number, but I bet if you look inside the cover of the radio and trace ...

Check the wiring to the forward/reflected power sense circuit in the PA. If the controller in the MSF does not sense good power, or senses high reflected power, it kills the PA and does exactly what you say.

With 800MHz Maxtracs so cheap these days, and the lack of cheap, quality, computer controlled scanners, I need someone to develop a PIC to interface a computer to the PLL in a Maxtrac (receive only).
