Re: APX CPS R07.00.00

Still the same issue here after uninstalling and reinstalling a few times. The folder for the device communications service is there but still says it is not running and will not read/write a radio. I'm also getting a wrong version of flashplayer warning even though the newest version is installed.

I had a similar problem with a 512 Astro Saber. It would take narrowband [2.5khz] frequencies, but not all. If I put in, for example, 155.55 and made it 2.5, it would take, but if I tried one of the newer freqs being used today like 155.5075, it would not take it and show an error for the whole radi...

Keep in mind you can use 1 personality for multiple channels. If you have a zone, say with 16 channels, all analog and narrowband, you would only need to use up 1 personality for that zone.

They can be programmed with Motorola CPS for Portable Radios [XTS5000]. They have their own programming cable but use standard Motorola Software. If it's a VHF/UHF combination radio, you actually read and write the VHF and UHF separately like they were two separate radios.

You can delete as many zones as you want - for example - you could delete the last 13 zones which would leave the first 2 zones of 16 personalities each FPP enabled, but the rest of the radio you can program as you wish with as many MDC or Astro Systems that you want. Depending on what part of the country you are in, the new, rebanded mutual aid channels are in the 851 to 853 range, which that radio will do, so if your area is getting rebanded in the very near future, it may be usable.
