9v battery leads - like a real rib uses- got the same setup several years ago to play with- works pretty good with radios that just have Gnd and Bus+ connections

I understand your question in that you want to just cut off both ends of the POTS line, put an RJ45 on both ends and just use it as one long patch cable.
