Usually the third letter on Motorola RF boards and antennas indicate band. Not sure if it the same on this product. "D" usually indicates VHF highband.

The control head and the chassis are separate devices that communicate with each other through the cable. The flash firmware that runs chassis has to be the same version of firmware that runs the control head. When you flash a radio, it updates both the firmware in the chassis as well as the ...

All EX series radios required version R06.03.00 or newer software. If the radio was programmed last with 06.05 then you will need that version or newer to program the radio you have.

Thanks for all the info. Radios are now both working. Codeplug tool did the trick.
I agree with above poster. Modifications that change soft pot/tuning data should NOT be done unless you have proper equipment to tune the radios afterwards.
