Hey y’all! I have a XTS 2500 with a leaking LCD. What is needed to fix this? Is this a module that I can swap out from a Model 1.5, 2, or 3 800mhz radio or will I need to send this to someone with more advanced skills?

Correct, on both radios Q52 and Q53 is enabled. Yup, my helpfile actually works on my XP system so I checked; looks like that's the case... Uhg... Oh well!

I think you have an intermittent solder connection somewhere, probably right on the RF deck. If it's a component not covered by those soldered-on shields, reflowing it wouldn't be too tricky. No, that's not service mode. That readout is just for quick grins. You should have a companion CPS program that opens separately and enables you to tune and adjust the radio. The contact is still connected, it is just loose enough to move around when its jostled a little. (Evidenced by the radio constantly reseting when it's set down or moved. If I hold it still than it works fine.)

It looks like that was it! I turned down the power from the original setting of 83 to 25 and that seems to have fixed the issue.
