Yes. I've actually done the same thing for my pager that stays in my room for night alerts.
If you have a steady hand you will need to remove the SMD resistor R309
The light will still flash while it is alerting, and the pin that goes to the amp charger will still works as well.

Minitor pager issue
Ever since the minitor III all the way up to my minitor V I get a feedback sound from the pager if I have the volume up too loud when it is receiving an RF signal ( no I am not transmitting or is anybody else transmitting next to me so it's not feedback from that). If you turn the pager volume down ...

Re: Minitor VI (6) released
It would have been nice if they would have added multiple paging formats. DTMF, MDC1200 or fleetsync along with the standard 2-tone

Re: Minitor 2 amplified charger, relay help
Maybe this will help http://www.batlabs.com/minitor.html You can't power a light directly off the internal relay. You will need to use a low voltage power supply to feed another relay to power any kind of light. I have a set up at my house for when my volunteer dept gets paged out it turns a lamp on...

Current draw on accessary connector
What is the max current draw you can have on pin 13 (switched batt +) on a cdm 1550 accessary connector. I am wanting to hook a zetron model 25 paging encoder up to a cdm 1550 and didn't want to run a power cable all the way back to the power supply. The encoder draws 2.5 amps.
Thanks in advance

Minitor 2 alert tone
Is there anyway to have a minitor 2 alert with the beep beep beep for along group tone instead of the long beep. I have tried putting 2 of the same tone filters in the a/b slot a/c slot and still get the long beep as the alert tone. Thanks in advance

Re: zetron model 5 encoder
If I remember correctly the only way to get custom tones was to have zetron program you a chip with your non standard tones in it
