Re: XTL 1500 same ribbon as 5000?
the 1500 uses a different flex cable from the 2500/5000 control head. Also a 1500 has the headbridge piece built into the head so basically there is no headbridge required. the 2500/5000 require the seperate headbridge for the o series.

It should handle 440mhz with no problem. Sounds like your radio has an issue. needs to start with a tuning with a service monitor to put into alignment.

I thought the latest firmware had a drop down to select what version is battery was attached. According to my Mol 7789 shows not available however might be restricted to Canada.

Ok. Maybe my question is actually two parts.
1. Can the XTVA charge an Li-ion batt safely and properly. (ie. the 4100 capacity ones)
2. Does using an xtva invalidate the impres warranty from motorola.

Lots of fire depts and ems services in PA are non profit agencies that are providing a service. There are some that are part of the governmental arm thereby can list themselves as a government entity.

I thought the console was set up to decode it but ive also heard you need an add on card to decode the mdc1200.
We are hooked into mastr 3 repeaters. (I dont think the radio makes the difference as the console does the decoding.)
