Yes there is a loop for input. However I need an output to close a relay for an indication that an emergency has been received on the fire ground.
I know this has been done somewhere before I just have to find out how!

You may have to create them on your own. This can be done using a text to speech program and then saving the voice file. Att text to speech comes to mind. Read the help files on your RSS and it will tell you what format the file needs to be in I think it is 8bit mono but not sure.

Ok Jim we will try and let ya know that sounds like it will work. Most of the buttons were for the scan and I had not set Scan up yet the only button was the Zone and I suspect that it was a default

I am having some issues programming the control head buttons on an xtl1500. all of the buttons seem to be grayed out and I can not see the drop down menu.

you may want to look at www.pyramidcomm.com they have many app notes on many radios and i know that the info is there for the radio side (mcs2k) and you may also be able to put together info for your vxr 1000

yes that is exactialy what i am trying to do. As I mentioned in the first post the drive has a program called argo for just that reason. It would be nice if it did. The reason that i want to do this is so i dont have to install the programs on all computers just the drive.

tried to look for the file on both the main frame and also the portable drive no luck! also cant install from the external drive BUT I can burn a disk form the file on the drive and it will install on the computer and work fine.
