I have looked into these and they are very proud of their product. The Sheriff in El-Dorado County California is running them. I have yet to made it over there to see how they work and what pitfalls they had in deploying them. I hear JPS is now engineering a SNV12 module to do the same thing?

Any luck with EX5/600 USB cables from Ebay?

I came across an EX600 and dont have access to a cable for this one. Anyone have any luck with these chi-com usb cables on the EX pro series? I see some with 3 pin on the connector and some with 4 or 5. Leads me to believe they are junk?

I suspected it was a jumper setting. Anyone have a board layout and jumper info then? I do not have any manuals anymore...got rid of my AS stuff years ago when I thought I was done with spectras and sabers for P25

So we still have no answer to the password? I have tried this before by setting the password then enableing the enc., the password still shows in the dialouge box (rss) but wont unlock the radio. Ive tried just about every combo and was never able to get it to unlock from power on.

LED HAW are in the reverse and tail lights. The stock LED array in the third brake light is used with the brake hooked to a diode and the feed from a led flasher hooked to a diode so the 2 circuts stay isolated from one another. The third brakre light will stay solid when you apply the brake however. I used the stock LED module in the assembly and just added oposing diodes to protect the circuts. I just tinted the windows today, Ill get more pics later when its not raining out. Also added Amber LEDs hidden in the back strip...

Are you refering to the VIP on the controll head or the Radio itself? Mine are remoted FWIW

Alex last I knew Havis-Troy-Jotto faces all interchanged just the material and thickness is "slightly" different. I believe you could use any of them. FYI this may be a lesser known company called Stuart-stewart someting to that effect

Try swapping the mic and checking your Deviation settings as well. You may be in limiting causing crappy audio, or both.

I have 2 W4's with a R2 profile that I did nothing to except an alignment on that are R3's. The issue I had was making enough audio below 450 for the digital. Analog it worked fine. Now the radios have a test point low enough to work there. Good luck!

Anyone found/made a smaller mic for the Spectra

I am tight on space in the vehicle as it is and having 2 spectras makes it more difficult to have the big mics. Has anyone found something or made something smaller that will work? Never contemplated this until now....ideas would be helpful.

I for one have had great sucess with the B10 and Diamond clone. Both work very well in my opinion and have used quite a few of them on UC applications. Again just my 2 cents worth

I have attempted to out of band the 450-512mhz portable with hex workshop. Either I cant follow the instructions....or they have changed they way they do things. Anyone have any luck with this lately? I need to add some ham freqs to a S split portable.

Fixed, was my cable causing the issue. Re-programmed the s record with known good equipment and works fine now.

Havn't found any other way to get around it other then to disable tones and leave that rat button programmed as blank, Win some loose some in the game of used as is equipment...
