XTS5000 ADP key select?
Is it possible to load and index more than one ADP key on a single talkgroup or are you limited to indexing only one key?

Re: XTS5000 conventional system scan, twice?
The Astro talkgroup list takes the 'randomness' out of the equation, as there are valid reason to have one. I'm asking if it's possible to scan the Astro TGRP list. Again, the conventional list not the trunked personalities.

XTS5000 conventional system scan, twice?
What I want to do scan a group of frequencies conventionally off a trunked system looking for activity on more than one defined TGRP. Is this possible? I have a scan list programmed with all of the voice channels of the trunked system in a zone, defined in one conventional personality. I have proper...

Re: How do you pronounce "Thales"
Depending on the part of the county you were raised in, Dallas could pronounced with the "as" like one's rear section or like "us" as in you and me.
So that still leaves Thal-ass or Thal-us.

How do you pronounce "Thales"
Okay, so this is probably the stupidest question to be posted in a while, but I avoid bringing the new multiband radio up in conversation because I don't know how to pronounce it... Is THALES "TH" like "THING" "A" like "ADAM" "LES" like "LEE&quo...

If you don't affiliate then that's the source of your problem.

Re: XTS5000 RSSI & SITE ALIAS
The site button (your #3) should show you at least the site ID followed by the RSSI value. If you have tones enabled, does the pressing your #3 button yield a "low" tone or a "high" tone? This 5000 is a model II or III correct? Try this, take the radio out of scan and press your ...

Re: XTS5000 RSSI & SITE ALIAS
It is possible but there are a lot of other things to be considered. 1) Do you have a site select/search button defined, if so what does it currently display? 2) Did you put the site in the alias as its HEX number (not DEC) and which alias list did you put it in. There are two lists depending on the...

MotoTRBO audio complaints
I have a large user base of XPR portables. They are set up on several digital talkgroups going through a TRBO repeater. Most of the guys sound ok but the ladies sound really bad. We have some real soprano voices and they sound like they are getting clipped when they speak or like the vocoder transla...

I heard it will be something out of this world.
It will allow you to use all of your TRBO memory.
Can't wait for it.

Re: MotoTRBO audio
Has anyone got any audio samples of MotoTRBO. Decoded and encoded. Cheers. BTW does anyone know if they are inter-operable on simplex or just via duplex repeater. Yes, they do work in digital simplex. The raw, un-decoded audio sounds the same to me as through the repeater. Another interesting featu...

Re: XTL 5000 loosing dynamic regroup talkgroup
Let me re-ask the question a differnt way. We have searched the cps/codeplug programming but are not seeing it. Does anyone know where specifically this item is located or is it just systemic to the XTL5000 that you'll loose the DYN TG?

XTL 5000 loosing dynamic regroup talkgroup
I have the ability to dynamically regroup radios on a 7.x system. All of the 'older' XTS 3000 and ASTRO mobiles seem to retain the dynamic regroup talkgroup after a power cycle, however, the XTL 5000's do not. After an initial use of the DYN TG and then a power cycle, the 5000's just tone indicating...

IV&D and scanners
If a P25 system includes both integrated voice and data (eg low-speed data, as oppossed to HPD) how do the current digital (astro-decoding, 9600 baud cc) scanners handle a channel assignment when a Quantar or GTR8000 start sending data? Do the current scanner skip the channels, assign the channels i...
