Re: Minitor V programming software issue
I ended up ordering a new usb to cradle cable and It works fine. Either it was a bad serial cable or serial port

Re: Minitor V programming software issue
I have compared the driver info between the 2 machines and they are the same. The serial port works to program other model radios including other Motorola radios. Still stumped!

Re: Minitor V programming software issue
Thank you for your replies, I will clean out the contacts again. It should be noted that the exact same equipment works on the old computer however. I will follow up and post results. Thanks again!

Minitor V programming software issue
Hello,
I have been using the PPS for the Minitor V for several years and now I have had to upgrade to a different laptop. (Both machines run Win XP) The old Dell, when I can get it to boot, runs the program just fine, but the Panasonic Toughbook will load the software but it will not read the pager ...

Re: HT 1250 transmit problem after narrowband programming
Thanks for the input, Bill. The part that still confuses me is the fact that other radios took the exact same codeplug and they work fine! I'm just glad it works now....

Re: HT 1250 transmit problem after narrowband programming
Well, the codeplug must have been the problem. I replaced it with a completely unrelated codeplug from another agency and it started working fine. So I just re-wrote the codeplug from the other one. Hope this will help someone out there-

HT 1250 transmit problem after narrowband programming
Hello- I have been doing the narrowband programming for the agencies I work for and have had pretty good results. I have done numerous model radios and the only ones I have had trouble with are HT1250 portables. I programmed them with the narrowband codeplug and now it will not transmit correctly. I ...

Re: Multiple QCII tone sets in 1 channel.
To test this out, I set my radio (Moto XTS 1500) up with my rescue squad tones in A-B, and the fire dept in C-D. This setup would not alert on the A-B tones. Any ideas?
Also, I was experimenting with adding a repeater input frequency as a channel. I live a few blocks from the dispatch center, and ...

Multiple QCII tone sets in 1 channel.
Hello, I am still new to programming features in radios.
From what I have read it looks like you can only have 1 set of QCII tones per channel. Am I missing something or is there a way to have one channel alert on 2 sets of tones.
Example: Someone works for 2 agencies that are dispatched on the ...

XTS 1500 model 1.5
Hello everyone. I am in charge of the programming of our new radios. We had them programmed by a dealer and they just don't do what we want them to.
We have been using the HT 750's and we like the way they recieve pages from county dispatch. When the HT series radios recieve a page we get: " Beep ...

Re: XTS 1500 Mod. 1.5 problems with pager use
Thanks for your responses. I do not have software yet, the board of directors needs to decide whether or not to purchase.
Also, I have not been able to pull up the flashcode or firmware info. Not sure what I'm doing wrong

XTS 1500 Mod. 1.5 problems with pager use
Hope you can help me out here.
The Rescue Squad I work for recently purchased 9 new XTS 1500 Mod. 1.5 portables.
They seem to be good radios although they are heavier than the HT series we were used to.
However we have been in contact with the dealer they were purchased from and they have not been ...
