Re: APX 6000 volume switch

Dave,

Sorry for the late reply.
I don't think you can order the 1375044C09 anymore or it is a restricted part. (at least this was true the last time I tried)
1375044C10 is the number I have ordered. Same pricing.

Re: APX 6000 volume switch

The volume control/on-off switch is not available as an individual part from Motorola. You are correct that the only way to repair this is to replace the top panel assembly. Last one I ordered was around 385.00. Still cheaper than flat rate. I went looking for the manufacturer of the part and found ...

Re: Planned MOL Outage in April

Hi Everyone, I got a notice about this last week. I can not believe that they could possibly think that this is a good idea. From what I understand NOTHING will ship for those two weeks, maybe longer. If that isn't just ignoring your customers, WHO PUT THEIR TRUST IN YOU & BUILT YOUR COMPANY, I ...

Re: Motorola Cabinets

Thanks to all that replied !! I guess I'm not as alone in the quest for a decent, modestly priced cabinet. Lake Effect - sure looks like a Motorola cabinet to me. I'm waiting on pricing now. It would certainly be my first choice. Escomm - Its the "eventually" that I'm worried about. MOL st...

Motorola Cabinets

Hello All, Does anyone know who manufactured the cabinets for the MTR2000, MTR3000, Quantar and other various products ? Part numbers like THN6700, THN6701, THN6702 etc. I have had one on backorder since December, I have grave doubts I will ever see it. Parts ID has no clue as to who made them. I kn...

Re: 3 Brand new Motorola Elite UHF Portables DEAD

Hello, If the Elite radio is the same platform as the waris series portables, the problem is most likely the Flash memory chips. Programming gets corrupted, radio never turns on. VERY common problem in a lot CDM or Waris portables. The symptoms you describe are identical to failures in the CDM and H...

Re: cdm series... wont power up.

Hello All, I'm still banging my head against my bench with these things. I replaced the flash eeprom and thought that reloading the firmware using a standard upgrade tool would reload the operating system ..... no go. I'll have to go back into this. Another radio had a bad micro .... changing it all...

Re: Minitor V Monitor Mode

Bump: Hello All Has anyone come up with a cause and or fix for this issue ? It seems as if I have sent a dozen units back for the "old swap-a-roo" in the last month. No common build dates or model type..... all from different customers. Any input would be appreciated. Happy Thanksgiving St...

Re: MCS2000 radio will not key up in conv. mode

Hello, As strange as this sounds, I had a number of dash mount MCS 2000's with the same condition.....no PTT. Changing the volume control/ power switch cured the problem on every radio ! Never did any more investigation as to why it worked but seeings believing . So if all else fails change the V.C....

No ignition control is (was) programmed. I'm still poking around for a voltage measurement that's not right.

cdm series... wont power up.

I have on my bench 2 cdm1250 UHF mobiles. Both exhibit the sane symptoms..... no power up. When hooked to a power supply I can see that when the power button is pressed the unit starts to go thru the power up sequence but does not pass the self test. Radio will draw stand-by current of about 190 ma ...

Re: CDM series... no power out

Thanks Bill. I've checked the switch and have gone as far as shorting it out, so i'm sure that its not the problem. I found an updated bias tuning procedure from what was originally printed in the service manual. This procedure is makes much more sense and explains the tuning completely. I can make ...

CDM series... no power out

Hello I have a CDM1250 VHF mobile 45w LDMOS PA.with no power out. Radio came in with a defective final. Replaced part and tuned transmitter per instructions in service manual. Radio now transmits in test mode per specs, however in normal operation zip. I can see upon PTT a rise in current draw which...
