Would the configuration change require flashing the radio or is it something you can just change in CPS?

Currently only XTS5000 with XTVA, but looking at getting a UHF Astro Spectra, but dont have dash space for conrol head.

Is it possible to convert Astro Spectra or XTL5000 radios to the w3/HHCH style control head or does it have to be the original configuration?
