Land Rover Disco II install

Any gotchas I need to be aware of? I'd like to put the 900 Mhz rig (maxtrac) on the front sunroof control panel, which means popping a hole in the roof for the whip for that band (I use comtelco spikes, nmo-mount, so maybe 6 inches of cable from the mount to the rig), but dear wife would like a dual...

927.500 in NEPA, usually no tone for simplex; common local tone around here is 82.5; my repeater (927.9000 ; input -25 MHz) will likely use the 82.5 tone, but I also can switch to DPL311.
