CM 300

I have units on order. But they are not due to be delivered till 11-14-03. I am also looking forward to the PM 400 mobile with the same ETA.

Programming these units does require special adapters. But they can be programmed thru the MIC jack or the AUX 16 pin connector.

Haunted Visar ?

Has anyone had experience with a UHF Visar sending an EMERGENCY signal 5 seconds after power up? I have:

A- removed ALL references to MDC.

B- Cloned from a unit with NO MDC enabled.

and all the above has had no effect?

Is this unit scared with Halloween close an all ?

R1225

The R1225 is good inexpensive repeater. But using it as a BASE station is not necessary. You would be better off with a CDM1250. This will allow for all 12 of your frequencies to be selected from the console. FYI M1225 only allow for 8 frequencies to be steered from the remote. How many CHANNELS (RA...

Solution

Well after playing with the different CPS's I have found the solution. The CDM views the Passport as an option board. It also views the VOICE STORAGE as an option board. So..now the fix. Under the option board settings change the selected ADVANCED & VOICE STORAGE to VOICE STORAGE. And POOF Passp...

CDM1550 LS+ Passport in the way!

I am having problems with REMOVING Passport zones in a CDM1550LS+. I have used the PPCPS and the CPS but the radio seems to need the Passport stuff and this blocks access to conventional channels.

Visar low batt

There could be one of two issues with your Visar. 1- Your transmitter, when in use. is drawing to much current from the battery, causing a premature LOW BATT beep. Your PA could be ready to fail. 2- (I am not sure about this one) In the RSS in the service window, somewhere, there is a LOW BATT thres...

1250 programming out of band

I do not think this can be done. (yet) I know many Batlab members are working on this. The software looks to see the FREQ RANGE in the RADIO INFORMATION screen and will not allow anything < or >. :( With the Windows CPS's you cannot do the old "hold down the shift key" trick either. I own ...

MDC1200

No. PRO series radios (HT750 1250 1550 & CDM 1205 and certian 1550's) work great for this function. Decoding can be done with a product from Cimmiron Tech. I have used many of the different Mark models with NO problems.

Motorola repairs

Yes! Motorola repair facilities all do a great job lately. There was a time when you might have had to send units back again and again! But now they really take care of business. They must have improved QA.

If flashing the unit does not work. Try programming with an old codeplug. However I have had this happen to an HT1550 portable and had to be sent to the Depot.
