Re: XTL5000 2.85v regulator issue
thanks for your reply. I made a couple mistakes in my original post. VCC2.85 is the pull up source for the LV_DETECT signal, so that is what I meant to say. If the 2.85 is bad, the LV_DETECT will never go high which I assume will keep the nautilus from booting. On my bad radios, LV_DETECT stays low,...

Re: Centracom CIE to CEB cable
Don't think belden makes cable assemblies, they make wire. Amp makes the connectors, pretty sure they are 14 pin champ .085 te series but not positive. Wire is 7-pair 28 or 26 ga solid, probably not the most common stuff. You could use two cat5 runs in parallel, using all 4 pairs in one cable and 3 ...

Re: R2670 RF In/Out Woes
Ohm out the port should read 50 ohms? I'm not really that familiar with the R2600s but most service monitors have a flat substrate 50 ohm attenuator maybe that's blown?

XTL5000 2.85v regulator issue
Any component level XTL techs out there? I have a couple VHF main boards that were fried by connecting a bad O5 head to them. Being VHF, I'd really like to fix them. At first I thought it was an sb9600 bus issue, but when I found sb9600_enable was not even turning on I looked elsewhere. I am finding...

Re: XTS5000 ADP vs. UCM question
OK thanks. I tried that, went ahead and put latest host in the radio (UCM was already latest) and still same issue. Re-verified UCM in another radio, works fine. Even tried upgrading it's version again but it refused saying it was already at the version I tried to put in. So latest versions in both ...

XTS5000 ADP vs. UCM question
Hi I've seen a couple conflicting posts floating around about software-based ADP vs. hardware based encryption. I have an XTS5000 host 14 that has the flash code for software based encryption, which works fine. I really don't need ADP so I got a UCM for it, but when I enable hardware encryption it d...

Re: VHF Quantro PA fail problems
some were obtained at Dayton, so might be the same batch. we did get the firmware updated, and yes we did do the exciter. seems the easier way is to use a prom burner and just burn the chips directly from the images on the net of the last/final version rather than flashing it. bought blank chips for...

Re: Clicking on Transmission
you're lucky it stopped. we have a similar clicking and popping all over the 420-440 segment of the ham band here that causes a similar noise on any UHF repeater input or link frequency that happens to be in that range. we've been trying to find it for a couple years, even had the FCC involved on an...

VHF Quantro PA fail problems
Hi guys I need some help if anyone is experienced with 350W VHF high power Quantros. We picked up several of the recently available VHF Quantros that have been floating around, and put one of them to use on our local 2-meter repeater. It replaced a high power Micor (B93RCB) and has the analog remote...

Re: Astro Spectra Consolette, connecting RCH3000
this DOES work however you have to use a mirror-image RJ45 cable to follow that pinout you have to remember RCH3000's always used a "flipped" cable 1-8 goes to 8-1, not a cat5 nor a crossover cable when you use a 100% flipped cable the pinouts referenced in this post work perfectly, even o...
