Anybody have or know how i can corect the following problem i have.

I can send and recieve emails fine but cant send emails with an attachment.

Windows 2000 with outlook express 6 .

I thought it might have been my Mcafee version 9.0 but i uninstalled it and still cant email an attachment back to ...

Wow i must have been stupid thinking above on my posting of the 5172 being a masked bd.

I was so sure that i just popped the cover off a 5172 bd and yes KB0nly is corect = it does have the removable prom.

My bad and i stand corected.

I cant say ive tried converting one of these to 16ch or more ...

The GP300 you describe must not be the USA version but the European Select V model since you mention the display.

What is the model number of the radio your needing help with ?

Is it UHF or VHF ?

If the radio in qestion is also the radio pictured ...

I normaly wouldnt have done much with it but its new in the box.

(Box still intact and stapled shut on each end with metal caps in place )

I have PR3000 UHF pagers ( Not the VHF ) in service yet today with a few customers and they seem to be happy with them .

I cant say ive had serious troubles with them but the battery door seems to get replaced a bit more than i had expected.

To clarify Max-tracs CORRECT statement.

The 5 pin logic bd will behave the way you described if it has the masked prom on it.

It can scan as you would like it = If the 5 pin bd you have has a removable eprom on it.

Dont recall exactly where i saw it but there is a wire around the timer in the radio that you put a potentiometer in place and then set it for the drive to the pa for the wattage output you wanted.

Obviously you unwired the other driver circuit and put in the potentiometer from another part of the ...

From the model number you posted ( P94YPC00C2 ) you have a 12.5 narrow band at 16ch capability.

The model number ( P94YPC20D2 ) Is a 25 khz wide band at 8ch capability.

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CLONE THE WIDE BAND READING INTO THE NARROW BAND !

I looked at a programming booklet for the Maxtrac Trunking mobile in hopes it just might be the same error code for explanation.

Im thinking your refering to a conventional mobile or at least thats my thought.

I did not find error code 54 as a code in the trunking book but did see a error code 53 ...

Just to add clarification.

The model definiton file your refering to is also called the MDF .

The MDF tells the program what model number your radio is so that it knows what to read and what to display as results ect.

In other words if the radio is a VHF P93 model it uses that part of the program ...

Does anyone know whether or not the GP300 can have a inversion scrambler installed in a GP300 with DTMF ?

If im corect my last conclusion ( A few years back anyway) was that MxComm inversion scramblers were installed where the DTMF normaly was so you couldnt put in a scrambler unless the DTMF was ...

Yes you can clone the reading of another GP300 that has DTMF as long as its the same model number.

If the 16ch radio you have did not have the DTMF option from the factory then it does need the added programing to the code plug to do DTMF but as you read above a reading from one with DTMF cloned ...

Yes the 93 in the model number you provided makes it the VHF band and the C2 tells us its a 16ch in the VHF high band split rather thanc the VHF low band split.

VHF hi = 146 to 174 mhz i believe is corect.

VHF lo = 136 to 162 mhz i believe is corect.

Got a BSR computer than finaly powered up with a CMOS RAM ERROR = CHECK BATTERY / RUN SETUP that the screen displays upon power up.

Well for the most part id have to believe youd be best off by getting a tee adaptor for your AM/FM music radio and simply plug into it and use the vehicles factory antenae for rx on both the Music radio and scanner combined.

Im not 100 percent sure on this but i believe that a Kenwood is programmed directly off the computer through a Kenwood program cable designed for the Kenwood model you want to program and does not require a RIB.

But please do check the accuracy of my statement for your radios in qeustion .

Yes the Maxtrac 99ch mobile that i have IS one of the canadian ontario radios.

It was converted by Nand and a great job of it at that.

It can easily be converted back to the 42 to 50 mhz band it was originaly in as factory before the conversion to 50 to 54 mhz.
