A post to my own post......a correction

I am actually trying to swap an O5 head, but an O3 head should more or less be the same I expect.
If I can plug in an O3, I can plug in an O5.

I am going to try different mute rules and give that a shot.
I am not using vote scan.

It is a VHF, R16.01.00

How To? Swap mid pwr O3 to Hi pwr W9 XTL remote head radios

What do I need to have and what do I need to do to swap heads from a remote mount XTL5K O3 mid power radio and put it onto a remote mount XTL5K W9 Hi Power radio and vice verso so that I still have two working radios.
I want the O3 to end up on the Hi power, the W9 on the mid power

XTL5K Squelch crash with scan problem

I have an XTL 5000 that I have programmed in a handful of frequencies that all have PL decode on.
On any given channel, not in scan mode, they all quiet correctly/as expected upon end of transmissions.
When in scan mode I near always get squelch crash instead of nice quieting upon loss of PL signal ...

P25 only, not mixed mode

I would like to make them talk to each other, but haven't had success yet.

Will be at HARA sometime Thursday to put them on the air.

Wouldn't miss it.

Plan to put up a 2m/440 P25 cross band repeater on site.
Have a couple of Quantars and duplexers, just need some time.
Hopefully will get er done in time.

I have a P25 only (not mixed mode) repeater up an running at Hara Arena.

P25 linked VHF and UHF for Dayton HAMvention - help

Hi all,
I want to put together a linked VHF and UHF p25 system for Dayton HAMvention 2011.

I am new at this so be kind.

I have a VHF quantar a UHF quantar and 2 DIU's and duplexers, a plan for install, antenna, etc.

So, what are the steps to make them link and work together?

The benefits of having moved to Ohio - Ice, Snow, Snow, Snow, oh and HAMvention.

I would like to put up a P25 repeater temporarily for Dayton.

I am new to P25 and that seems like a neat project.
A Quantar is not likely to make the budget ...
