A post to my own post......a correction
I am actually trying to swap an O5 head, but an O3 head should more or less be the same I expect.
If I can plug in an O3, I can plug in an O5.

Re: XTL5K Squelch crash with scan problem
Thanks for the reply.
I am going to try different mute rules and give that a shot.
I am not using vote scan.
It is a VHF, R16.01.00
Thanks
Mark

What do I need to have and what do I need to do to swap heads from a remote mount XTL5K O3 mid power radio and put it onto a remote mount XTL5K W9 Hi Power radio and vice verso so that I still have two working radios.
I want the O3 to end up on the Hi power, the W9 on the mid power

XTL5K Squelch crash with scan problem
I have an XTL 5000 that I have programmed in a handful of frequencies that all have PL decode on.
On any given channel, not in scan mode, they all quiet correctly/as expected upon end of transmissions.
When in scan mode I near always get squelch crash instead of nice quieting upon loss of PL signal ...

P25 repeaters on site at Hamvention 2012
443.9625+. NAC 293
146.685- NAC 293
low profile
P25 only, not mixed mode
I would like to make them talk to each other, but haven't had success yet.
Will be at HARA sometime Thursday to put them on the air.
Questions/comments... Let me know

I'm in.
Wouldn't miss it.
Plan to put up a 2m/440 P25 cross band repeater on site.
Have a couple of Quantars and duplexers, just need some time.
Hopefully will get er done in time.

P25 linked VHF and UHF for Dayton HAMvention - help
Hi all,
I want to put together a linked VHF and UHF p25 system for Dayton HAMvention 2011.
I am new at this so be kind.
I have a VHF quantar a UHF quantar and 2 DIU's and duplexers, a plan for install, antenna, etc.
So, what are the steps to make them link and work together?
Why, no good reason ...

Re: DAYTON 2011 - Whos in?
Definitely in!
Close the office, drive 45 min, done deal.
The benefits of having moved to Ohio - Ice, Snow, Snow, Snow, oh and HAMvention.
I would like to put up a P25 repeater temporarily for Dayton.
I am new to P25 and that seems like a neat project.
