Not sure about the Astro Saber however every XTS surveillance adapter that I have used I was able to blow code into the radio with my KVL. I'm sure that it should work for your needs

I think OP was referring to the fan in his bench power supply was still running (IMPRES battery backfeeding).

Morning,

I was wondering if a XTS5000 2 can be modified to a 3 by switching out the keypad and external case ? I'm sure it's not that ease like the old ASTRO Sabers were.

I just checked the configuration of my XTS3000 and sure enough all the personalities were set up for "wide" not narrow band. Changed all TX Deviation to 2.5 KHZ and guess what?? My unit now can hear!!! Thanks all for ur input on the batboard!!!!
