Have you tested the blue charge light bulb? It will not charge a battery if the bulb is no good. It's 28 volts, but check with an ohm meter.

That front hang-up button is correct for the chrome mic. I have a Polytronics CB here with that same mic. I believe it's made by Shure.

Re: Motrac D73MHT-3100-A mobil question

I have many old service manuals and found a similar chassis used in a base station. The 2 tubes shown in the schematic are 7551 ans 8552, so see if the one thats there is one of these two, then you will know which is missing.

Re: Transistorized "Dispatcher" Radiophone

I checked my old Gregory Electronics catalog, it does show a front mount UHF Business Dispatcher # D34DRT-3100 and a rear mount T34DRT-1100. $98 and $148 in 1982. Doesnt say transistor or not. Since the 2nd T means transistor power supply, I'm guessing its a Motrac- based radio and is A 15 watt outp...

Re: Mitrek head with a Maratrac radio?

A Mitrek control head will not work with a Maratrac, but a Mitrek control cable will work with a clamshell A2/A3 head. This was one of the original selling points when the Maratrac/M400 radio first came out in the late 80's-early 90's.

Doesn't just using the shift key method work? It should depending on how far out of band you need to go.

Re: Stronger hang-up clip?

The strongest hang-up clip would be one of the old "PL" hang- up boxes that were used thru the 70's -90's on Micors, Mitreks Etc. Its about 2"" square with no sharp edges. Don S

It looks like a remote control for a Motrac base station. The same control front panel is also used on a table top "Compa-station" late 60's- early 70s vintage.

I have only seen one basic PAC-RT adapter cable for the Maratrac. It doesnt matter which head is used because only the audio, PPT and carrier detect circuits are tapped into. Re: Maratrac question

Yes, It can easily be converted to a 99 channel . You need the A7 head and control cable. In the software there is a control head change page. The clamshell head you now have can be programmed as a 16 channel without scan (A2) or a 8 channel with scan( A3) , same head with different labels.

Re: Manual for Motorola C73MHB-3140BR

According to that model #, that is a 100 watt VHF Motrac base station. with Private Line and I think 4 freq. I have a manual for the low power version, L43MHB. Unless someone changed the components in that cabinet, that was a Base radio as indicated by the "B", a repeater would end in a &q...

According to my Mocom 70 manual. it's part # 7B82400D01. Bracket, control head mounting. Shouldn't be hard to find a used one, they were the same for Motrac and Motran.

Re: Hello, im new

Welcome. The easiest way to tell which low band split your radios are is to take the top cover off and pull off the cover at the rear of the radio. There's a part # on that board on the left side. these will tell you the split:
HLB 4117a 29-36 mhz
HLB 4118a 36-42 mhz
HLB 4115a 42-50 mhz
