Okay, I've made a flash programming box for my EX radio but my cheap cable doesn't have the boot control pin. Anyone have a source for a connector for this radio? I would like to build a new cable with the boot control pin so I can flash. I used to have a factory cable, but stupidly sold it.

I received my PSM in mid-Decmber and it is really nice. Koutos to /\/\ for finally getting this project done. About 8 years overdue, but hey, at least they finally got me a PSM that is worth using for my VHF waris radios. I'm very pleased.

I just noticed on MOL that the HT1250 PSM with 24" cable has a part number of RMN5076A. It is not available yet, but at least there is a part number. Has anyone seen one of these yet?

Well, I flashed the radio through the rear connector using my /\/\ adapter cable. It still was a bit of a chore to get the radio into bootstrap mode. My timing on the two power button pushes must not have been just right, maybe too long. Eventually on the seventh try, it did it's thing. What a pain!...

Does anyone know off hand the specs of the wall wart that is used with the NTN1174 slow charger. Have you checked off in the programming to make the scan list user programmable. This is done from the screen where you define what personalities will be priority, designated TX, secondary priority, etc.

MDC emergency

Yes, the HT1250 does transmit MDC1200 emergency signalling. We use the Zetron 4020 console at my agency to decode the MDC emergency from our HT1250's.

Without opening the radio it is hard to guess, but if you recently recased the radio, the flex that connects the front to the chassis could be kinked, torn, or disconnected. Does the display still illuminate and do the buttons work?

Not necessarily. The Maratrac's were programmed at the drawer and not the control head. The RJ45 connector was in the drawer. :wink:
