Re: XTS2500 Trunked Emergency from Conventional Mode
Hi Thanks for the reply... I do not have Home Mode Selection as an option on any of the buttons. It seems to be locked to the "HOME" button on the front keypad. I thought about using MS1, 2 or 3 (MODE SELECT) as the Orange button in Conventional mode, but the users get access to programmin...

Hi, I have not had a chance to experiment with the MotoTRBO radios extensively... Is there a way to monitor the TEXT in a data message (SMS) sent to a mobile radio through the rear accessory connector? I'd like to AUTOMATICALLY display the text on a computer when the message is received. Nothing els...

Is it possible to revert from a conventional channel to trunked talkgroup during emergency? From look...

Re: GM398 RF connector question
As far as I know... The GM339, GM399, GM398, GM338 all have BNC connectors.
The GM338LS (LTR Model) has a MPL connector.

Re: Motorola GP339 Power Up Problems
Hi
It was sent to Motorola under their fixed price repair scheme.
Came back with a whole new PCB. Basically a new radio.
Let me know if you want to do the same. PM me for details.
Thanks
Dom

Astro Spectra keeps changing sites: Smartzone
Hi all, I am working on a W4 Astro Spectra. For some reason it keeps trying to affiliate for longer than normal. It's like it is going through every possible channel to find the best signal or something. I have copied every parameter from another working radio and it's still doing the same thing. I ...

Visar Squelch Problem, Any Ideas?
Hi All, I have a Visar UHF which has open squelch ALL the time... The only way to fix the squelch is put it right up in the RSS Service Menu. I have to adjust it right up to 61/64 to stop the static... That gives me a problem... I can't hear any transmissions on the channel because the squelch is to...

Motorola Cable
Hi Again,
I have a cable which I have no idea what it's for. I think it is something to do with a Spectra.
Part Number: PMKN4000A
Has a 25 pin D plug on one end and a 15 pin D plug on the other.
Thanks, Dom

Motorola GP339 Power Up Problems
Hi I have a Motorola GP339, which is an Australian Waris 5-Tone radio. It has a problem where it will not power up correctly. Sometimes (very rarely) it will switch on as normal after a few attempts. All the other times when I switch on the power it flashes the backlight and nothing else happens. Wh...

Thanks, Dom

RSSI on MCS2000 Conventional
Hi The only information I was given is that the RSSI (indicator) is used on trunking personalities only to monitor the control channel. As far as the output goes, It is a simple analog voltage output on pin 22 so if someone were to design a signal bar meter and attach it, that could work. If you put...

RSSI on MCS2000 Conventional
Hi all,
Is it possible to get the Signal strength meter on a MCS2000 to work on Conventional channels?
If not, is it possible to use pin 22 on the accessory connector as a signal for an external RSSI meter?
Thanks, Dom

HHCH MCS2000
Hi again,
Regarding my previous post, On the batlabs website, under the MCS2000 section there is a list of model numbers available and there is one HHCH model for each band.
What sort of HHCH is this?
Thanks, Dom
