Make sure you have the USB channel license dongle. Find a copy of the MIP5000 manual and start reading, it is actually very intuitive and straight forward. I may still have a PDF copy of an older version but I have not messed with them for over 4 years. Start with the CSDM and configure the ...

Re: MIP 5000 Tone Gateway Config
It has been a while since I have done any configuration on the MIP5000 but as I recall when in the CSDM after you make changes you need to tell it to generate config files. That will place the new config files on the CSDM computer for the gateways to download when they boot up. So then you would ...

Re: L3276A Tone Remote Adapter; 2Wire v. 4 Wire
Note that the Motorola way of doing the TX and RX naming of the wires is not what you would consider logical. TX from the L3276 is actually the RX audio going away from the L3276 to the tone remote. RX audio would be your TX audio from the tone remote going into the L3276. I am pretty certain I have ...

Re: MIP5000 and pass through to a phone
You need to tell the MIP5000 which audio to use, when off hook it needs to route your audio through the headset to the phone. Then when you you press the PTT and/or are back on hook the MIP will send your audio to the radio. Also when off hook it should route the rx audio to speaker vs. the headset.

Re: MIP5000 and pass through to a phone
The pics show the "basic" DDN9492 heasdset box, which gives gooseneck/headset/footswitch capabilities. For telephone interface capability, you would need the "Enhanced" headset box, part# DDN9493, which has an extra "Auxilliary" port where the telephone audio would interface to.
