Re: APX 3" belt clip on an XTS5000 ?
I ordered two of these the other day and just read this thread. The standard XTS5000 belt clips that I have all have plastic hinge plates that pop off the battery way to easy so I ordered the HLN6875A because it looks like it has a metal hinge plate. I am used to the MTS2000 belt clips and they ...

I just got one of these from eBay and it came with the AC power cable. The internal power supply induces a hum/buzz onto the FM audio when I transmit.
I am about to dismantle the guts inside and put some filters on the DC output of the supply! Has anybody experienced this problem with one of these ...

The sabers and systems sabers allow you to 'step' the squelch level up or down (maybe just up?) for the priority channel only during scan. This is in the service radio menu... somewhere. This means that during scan, the priority channel's programmed squelch level will be different from when it is ...

Hmmm.. interesting. The systems saber is the same way; no post-MDC when the channel is not slaved to clear. To state in another way, if a mode is secure-slaved or user selectable between clear and secure, the RSS will not allow a post-MDC. This may have to do with the routine that the transmitter ...

When eqquipped with an OTAR module, the MDC data can broadcast which key it is currently using (1 of 8 possible) so another radio can decode it and change keys. Can the RAT buttons or front keypad be programmed to change the power setting of the current personality or zone?
Is there a menu selection to accomplish this? (I doubt)
Any tips on how to change the RF power "in the field"?

I gather from your post that you are getting a 'Codeplug to new/old' error upon reading the B5 codeplug.
One way to circumvent this would be to use the lab to read/write without 'unpacking' the codeplug into archive format. Then use a newer non-lab version of MTSX that can then edit the contents ...

Model Number H01UCH6DB7AN
Ok, so I can tell that it is 806-870, Privacy Plus, and 'Dual-mode' trunking (whatever that is). Here are my questions:
1) Can it do Type II, IIi?
2) How many modes or talkgroups is is capable of? 255 like a B7 MTX8000?
Thanks, Paul
