i think that it should be a law for saftey that every public saftey agency should use the traditional 2 way radio...how safe will it be to have to waut for a replie and only hear one side of the conversation/...what if there is an officer down or there is a code that has to be called to anthor ...

the main ones we use are the following 2 freqs....

1.452.3250 pl-192.8
2.462.9750 pl-167.9
3.462.9500 pl-131.8

the first is the main dispacth freq....the others are c-med north and c-med southwest.....for those of you who know...c-med connects you to the X-pacth in the hospital....i am not a radio ...

I have the DPL's and the PL's...i am a VFF in my town and i want to hook into the twon system...they all have GP350's...i have an HT1000...it is 16 channel UHF 450-520mhz...most of our freqs are in the 452-462mhz....we have 16 main fore depts and 4 VFD's and ithink what i was trying to day was that ...

i am really radio stupid but i love the tings so much...i need to know somthing...i have all the freqs for the radio and the DPL's and PL's but i don;t know how to get the funny sounds to get my radio to hit the repeater?...i think i am asking right....because i listen to my scanner and i listen to ...

Yea i figured i would just change it into a local dealer for the same radio and just trade in for the 851-870mhz instead of going through all the trouble...this might be easier......i think i will give up on doing things the hard way......i hate when i try to make myself do the impossible ...

i know there is a way to make a 900mhz radio into an 800mhz radio....i want to make an MTS 2000 896-941 into 851-870mhz radio.....i think tis may be possible....if anyone knows can u please email me at this addess.....

i am looking to buy somthing in the 800mhz APCO25 system....but i am looking for a cheaper radio....i may be crazy for asking....because i know these radios are sometimes $2000.00 :x but if anyone can help me in purchasing a radio...and if that person also programs these radios please let me know ...

what do you use the 700mhz and the 380mhz band for?....i know we here in connecticut have a 60 and 70mhz mid-band radio....and i still don't know what we use that for...i think i need a radio frequency guide for dummies like me.....can anyone tell me what we use those bands for......
