There is a "CODE" drop-down menu in Engineering Mode. Can this be accessed to change to DTMF, 5/6-tone, or other format of tone signalling?

Talked to my M rep. Q52 can only be sold to the Feds. State and Local can only get Q53. So I'm out of luck.....again! M is wearing on my nerves.

XTS5000 FPP
Hello. Asking all you experts out there: is it possible to program an XTS5000 (VHF) to accept FPP WITHOUT a dongle? I have seen some advertised this way but wasn't sure if this was a hacked radio or if there was a legitimate way to make it happen. Thanks.

Just to make sure I understand what you're saying: if I buy APX7000s for my department, I won't have to worry about people talking on our TRS unless they have an ASK? Does that mean even if they were to start a template from scratch? They would have to hack one of our radios or have access to ASKs ...

What would stop someone from getting a non-ASKed trunked radio from Ebay that was Smartnet ready and just plugging in the talkgroup IDs from the internet?
