Hey guys,
I realize this is a long short since the last post on here was from 2005!!!! Any wasy we're redoing our bunk room and I've been looking at the idea of having the bunk room lights come on when the on air tones are activated. We don't have a Zetron system or anything like that. We would ...

XTS 2500 Private Call
We were just issued a bunch of new XTS2500's (model II) on an astro25 system. Under the "Call" menu button, the call list has all the names and numbers of all the radios we've added in the last few years. PTT initiates a call, and rings on the other end, but can't figure out how to acknowledge ...

Your kidding right? $5 for the decal and $33 to ship to me! Really!
That's probably calculating for a 1 lbs box, I'd call them and ask if they can mail in an envelope. I do e-commerce for a living, we get calls all the time w/ similar situations from intl. customers thinking we're trying to rape ...

BCD996T REC out issue
I've got a BCD996T with a 3.5mm audio cable run from the scanner REC out to the aux in on a stereo in another room. The remote audio will play the first 5-10 seconds of a transmission and then cut out. The audio from the scanner does not do this, only the remote audio. Any ideas what might be going ...

Re: Minitor V Alert's but no voice?
I think the problem here is the carrier squelch is not opening up (unmuting) as it should. I've got a few SV models that will alert and receive audio while the squelch is being held open by the SV, but then revert back to silent. They'll receive traffic if the squelch button is manually pressed ...

Re: Strange blips in Minitor V audio - audio file included
Without listening, I'm guessing it sounds like the proverbial record player needle jumping in the record's groove. If that's what it is, then it's the "lookback" to F1 dead time caused by priority scan on F1 being active. If you change to probability scan it'll go away.

Re: Help needed with Minitor II SV
I've got a non SV Minitor 2 that I've got no use for (it's not on our frequency). You can take the guts out of it, swap the receiver board and tone reeds with yours and your good to go. I did the opposite....found a SV model and swapped my board/reeds, that's why I have this one now.
