Make sure all the boxes are on the same VLAN (either 1 or 2 - they need to be consistent).
(this does not speak on the compatibility of software, only the hardware connections as a
starting point). Also, what do your CSS service status screens tell you ?

Aeroflex 3920 (WowBagger) questions
Hello.
On the 3920:
(a). One of the Util options is listed as Aeroflex. Presumably this is for "factory" service
personnel, yes ? What can you access under it ?
(b). There is no "calibration" per-se for this instrument is there ? (unless it's under the
restricted access menu item above). Mine ...

Re: Network security
Ha! Somebody woke up cranky this morning!
Not really... I get cranky when I'm told my profession is a trumped up version of the mob's "protection plan" 8)
It pretty much is, (and I have, the - in my opinion - overrated, CISSP certificate, eh like big deal, pay
some industry "family" big bucks ...

Re: Network security
"Network security is big business".
Yes, that sums it up quite nicely.
Never mind the fact that:
(a). The typical Motorola 7.x system employs a PRIVATE closed backhaul network
(NOT the "public" internet).
(b). The core software communicates in a proprietary protocol.
What is the "worst case ...

Re: Aeroflex 3920 (Wowbagger) question
aah yes, the "ASSIGN" key ... thank you!
(had to search the pdf manual for "volume", and "next").
Volume/squelch: push the button under the spinner - that will give you volume and squelch.
You also need to select that demod gets routed to the speaker. I don't have a unit in front of me (and I ...

Aeroflex 3920 (Wowbagger) question
I must be missing something.
Spanking new 3920.
Was the box deliberately designed to NOT have volume/squelch controls ?
I cannot believe a "service monitor" was designed without the ability to
capture off the air modulation for human ears !! Heck, I can't even pick
up/decode P25 audio (which I ...

Re: R2670 FDMA BER 1011 test patterns
Just curious, how OLD is the firmware in your 2670's? That was a problem before I retired and it was resolved.
Dave, I show -
STANDARD V6.12.I00 (that's the letter "i" in upper case before the two zero's).
P25/Astro/SNET V6.11.H00
I presume CTDI loaded the latest firmware when they go in each ...

R2670 FDMA BER 1011 test patterns
Ran into a reproducible symptom with several of these monitors we have.
Wondering if others have experienced the same issue.
When in GENERATE mode, and running the 1011 test pattern for say a
GTR8000 receiver BER test. The level will be adjusted for an approx 5%
BER figure.
Letting it just sit ...
