PA function for CB's
I've been looking at a new mobile cb to replace my dinasour. My question is regarding the PA function. Is the output of the cb amplified? Does it go right to the speaker? Would it be possible for me to rig my existing whelen setup (pa and horn) to it so I could have one less microphone in my car? My...

SP50 Humming
I was asked to look at a radio that sounded like "darth vador." The RX was very choppy and didnt sound right at all. I took it apart to look inside and see if anything was obvious (my first thought is water vs. speaker). When I put it back together, all the radio does is hum. Dosent receiv...

92 Suburban Question
A guy wants me to install strobes in his tail lights on his '92 suburban. Does any one know if its 3 sets of lights or 2.
Meaning 3 sets would be that turn signals, brake, and backup are all different. And 2 Meaning that the brake lights and turn signals are the same thing.
Thanks
Matt

My stand: I think ebay ad's should stay. I've found some nice auctions through the forum that I didn't see while searching. New users should have to provide their ISP email. This is the email address of you at your internet service provider. This way scammers coming to post new ad's on here would ha...

Of those four choices, I would go with the GP350. It offers the most choices and it is easily modded if its only 2 channels. Remember, for GMRS, your going to want UHF. If you want to program it yourself, your going to need: - Motorola compatible Rib (aftermarket price: about $50) - Programming cabl...

How far can the average radio go with out of band programming?
The most I would do is probably 5 mhz on a GP350 or SP50. Maybe a HT1000

I'm not an expert in this in anyway. This is from the batlabs information, not very specific but It might help: There is a selection in the RSS to make the radio 24 channels. If you select this option, as long as you don't use the alphanumeric portion on every channel (or it will run out of memory) ...
