Analog audio into XPR8300

Some of you might be familiar with the WX-250 weather receiver from Computer Automation Technology. If you're not, it receives NOAA weather alerts and when they match certain criteria, the alert audio is output to a repeater. I suppose one method for connecting one of these to a MotoTrbo digital ...

Re: MotoTRBO. You saw it here first!!!!

A recent article in Urgent Communications had a half-sentence mention about a digital IP phone patch Motorola was intending to release for TRBO. Has anyone heard anything about this product? Didn't see anything on MOL.

Re: Anyone tried the MTR3000 yet?

There are some options for the MTR3000; circulator/isolator and preselector. Does anyone have any opinions about them as opposed the third products from vendors like Telewave? For that matter, where duplexers, preselectors, and isolators are concerned does anyone have any hands on experience with ...

The repeater required the intermediate 1.06 upgrade. I believe than means it was 1.02. For the subscribers, they were fielded in phases, so any firmware Mot shipped between Jan 2010 and last month is possible.

Re: IPSC performing better than conventional?

Did you do a firmware upgrade recently?

tpg

Ahhhh. Yes, an upgrade to 1.07 was done on the repeater and subscriber units at the same time. I will need to re-read the release notes and see what may be the cause. It's intellectual curiosity more than anything else at this point; no one is ...

IPSC performing better than conventional?

Late last week we took a conventional MotoTrbo system and switched from Dynamic Mixed Mode to IP Site Connect. For reasons I cannot explain, the repeater is now accessible in fringe areas where there was previously no coverage. Using XPR6550s, we're able to not only bring up the repeater but have a ...

Re: TRBO with Magstripe Credit Card Reader/Processing

Warning: The VISA/MasterCard merchant agreement requires a minimum of 128-bit encryption using AES or DES. The 40-bit RC4 encryption offered on Trbo isn't up to snuff. Heaven forbid something goes wrong, the processors might attempt to hold you (and everyone else under the sun) responsible for their ...
