Re: argus 12 battery backup schematics???

I assume this is installed with a mtr2000?

I never understood the real need for that device. The MTR has a built in transfer relay from AC to DC, so just add a battery charger. The only thing I don't know about is if the MTR2K has a low voltage disconnect, however you could always add one,?

Re: CDM1250 No Backlight or Other LED's

Take the head off, chances are the circuit board is not seated in the plastic of the control head housing. There are little clear clips around the perimeter and the boards often pop out, which will cause button, display, volume, and light issues.

All, I have an interesting issue. I Have a contractor that located a an XPR8400 repeater at a beach location about 1 year ago. Ok, great. Thank you. This is a call alert system within a fire house, so the announcements are relatively short in length. I almost always use 100 watt attenuators no matter the tap or speakers connected to it. Its just easier to order and stock.

Re: 70v PA question

So if the amp is 100 watts, and the speaker tap is 20 watts, it would be fine to use a 35 watt 70v volume control?

Also, does the same hold true if two speakers tapped at 20w are run from a 35w volume control?

Stupid question. Lets say I have a 70v PA system in a building utilizing a 100 watt 70v amplifier and 4 30 watt speakers (transformers mounted on speakers, tap for 30 watts) In reference to the wall mounted volume controls, if one were to use a 20 watt control, would that simply limit the wattage to...

You need to populate all channels on the zone selection screen in order to avoid unprogrammed channel. If you are only using 4 channels, duplicate you most important channel. Let's say channel 1 is the most important, program the zone list channel 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1 all the way to 16.

Try making the other repeater the master and the master the peer. You need to change the ips to make it work.
