Re: Motorola SL300 - need to wait after power down before will charge?

How about you just use the dang charger that came with the radio? You spend several hundred dollars on each of your radio*s* (you said plural) and then use some other $10 charger to charge them?

FWIW, I've used aftermarket RIB-less serial port programming cables with MTS2000 radios on Windows XP 32-bit without any issues at all. You don't need a RIB setup which costs 2x to 4x the price of an MTS2000 radio itself!

Re: DMR feature in APX

I'm wondering if the 7000 will even be included in the DMR firmware. It should be by all means but it could easily become another "buy an 8000" selling point for the mothership to push. Well, they currently have one firmware file for all APX models. When they initially released the 8000's...

OK, to take the topic back on track....
DMR in an APX radio.... hell yes, I'd love to see it. If there was an APX8000/8500 (or 9000/9500?) which was all band + DMR, I'd buy it.
If mother /\/\ kept it in the top-tier APX line, I can't see any cannibalization of the XPR line.

What do you mean by "web based software"? CPS runs locally on the machine you've installed it on and you're hard-wired to the radio via a programming cable (RDU4100's don't have Bluetooth or Wi-Fi support). Network traffic wouldn't affect it. The rep didn't care about the network traffic b...
